UNR4UMR is a 12-week summer program during which undergraduate fellows conduct full-time research under the direction of a faculty mentor. This program is sponsored by Amazon Alexa AI to support underrepresented minorities in computing.
Our summer researchers receive an award of $5,000 ($3,000 in the beginning and $2,000 in the 6th week) to support their full-time attention to research training and professional development. This year’s program will begin on May 15th and end on Aug 4th (12 weeks).
Selected students will work closely with Dr. Jinho Choi, the director of the Emory Natural Language Processing Research Lab, and his Ph.D. students for Conversational AI research. Students will be assigned individual or group projects and expected to deliver end-products in research papers, software tools, API services, etc.
